Terms of Use

What PayCheckup is

PayCheckup is provided by Nowela AB, Sweden. It is a tool for keeping your own record of hours worked and calculating what those hours should pay under the overtime rules you choose. It is your record, not an official one.

By using the app you agree to these terms and to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement.

Estimates only

PayCheckup estimates your pay based on the rules you select. It is not payroll software, legal advice, or a guarantee of what you are owed. Labor laws vary and change. If you believe you have been underpaid, contact your employer, your union, or your state labor department.

Accuracy

The overtime rules in PayCheckup are checked against official sources and updated in app releases. The date they were last verified is shown in the app under Settings. Even so, the result depends entirely on what you enter and on which rules apply to your employment, which only you and your employer know. Nowela AB does not warrant that any figure is correct for your situation.

No professional advice

Nothing in PayCheckup is legal, tax or financial advice, and using it creates no professional relationship. Decisions about your employment are yours.

Premium and subscriptions

Premium is available as a monthly or yearly subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple Account.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. A free trial, where offered, becomes a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel before then. Cancel any time in your Apple Account settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal and does not refund the current period.

The lifetime purchase is a single payment with no renewal. Purchases are handled by Apple and are subject to Apple's terms. Refunds are requested from Apple, not from us.

Your data

Your records stay on your device and, if you choose, in your private iCloud. Keeping backups is your responsibility, and the app can export everything at any time. See the Privacy Policy.

Liability

The app is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, Nowela AB is not liable for losses arising from use of PayCheckup, including any difference between what the app estimates and what you are actually paid.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Swedish law.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version.
